Dear Friends and Wine Loves,

Wine lovers from enthusiastic beginners to ardent collectors will be elated to learn Wine Summit Lake Louise is returning for a fourth year to the award-winning Post Hotel nestled in the Canadian Rockies in scenic Lake Louise. This 98-room Relais & Chateaux alpine resort and spa provides an ideal setting for a gathering of guests who enjoy wine, food and good company.

Post Hotel
Highly regarded by wine connoisseurs, The Post has received Wine Spectator’s coveted Grand Award four years running and was voted #3 Hotel in the Continental US & Canada in T+L’s 2007 World’s Best Awards, and #4 in the Food Category in Conde Nast’s 2008 Gold List of the World’s Best. Wine Summit participants will have the rare opportunity to taste some outstanding wines and meet with the winemakers and owners of world-class estates.
Post Hotel
This celebration of wine culture will headline the best of the best from the world’s greatest wineries: a first growth Bordeaux from Chateau Mouton Rothschild, Burgundy wines from Domain Jacques-Frederic Mugnier, champagnes from Dom Perignon – Moet & Chandon, Russian River Valley’s Chardonnays and Pinot Noirs from DuMol, Piedmont wines from Gaja, and California’s first growth Ridge Monte Bello from Ridge Vineyards
Anthony Gismondi and John Ash will both be back to lend their expertise at wine-tastings and pairings. Food culture will also be featured showcasing the Post’s award-winning cuisine.

The all-inclusive Summit program costs CDN$2575 pp dbl and includes accommodation, all meals, tastings and all taxes and gratuities. The Summit program can be modified at request to suit partners or companions who may prefer other activities to wine tasting. Call to discuss your interests and details.

On May 29th, oenophiles may indulge in an A La Carte 1000 point tasting – a rare opportunity to taste ten 100 point wines.
Post Hotel
Not included in the Summit program, this event costs $650 pp and includes lunch.  Alternatively, guests whose interests may tend more to food than wine may attend a Cooking Class with Chef Hans Sauter, including lunch, for $150 pp.

An Autumn Journey through California Wine Country

This casual, up-close tour of beautiful California Wine Country is done on a relaxed timetable with opportunities for plenty of mini-adventures and individual exploration.

Two itineraries are offered for enjoying wine country in the fall. “Vintner’s Choice” is an ideal trip for learning about both food and wine.

“Culture of the Vine” is wine-focused, with tastings and educational chats with winemakers along the way. Both itineraries kick off at San Francisco’s Fisherman’s Wharf, and the chance to schedule an additional day to explore that bustling city in more detail can easily be arranged.

No matter which itinerary, the focus of this Cruise West voyage is on exploring the region rather than viewing it from the distance of the ship. An added bonus of Cruise West’s trademark small ship for this specific tour is that it keeps driving in this congested region to a minimum.

Another distinguishing characteristic of Cruise West’s tours is their desire to embrace spontaneity and seize new experiences—hot air balloon rides, inflatable boat rides, or an olive grove tour—wherever or whenever they might occur.

Cruise West trips have a casual dress code, inviting atmosphere, friendly crew, and a dining schedule dictated by the day’s events, so everyone will feel at home here. And guests onboard are usually open to making friends along the way. All in all, it’s a pleasant way to explore the wine country.
