Harold In Italy – your invitation to join our Founder & Executive Director, Harold D. Partain, as he shares some of his favorite corners in Italy. After thirty plus years traveling throughout this historical country, Harold has discovered some very unusual and delightful places to "hold up for a few days" and enjoy the world as it slowly makes its way past you.

La Dolce Vita! Take the time to stop and enjoy the splendor that is Italy. Every region has its own treasures and each discovery deserves the time to relax, engage and be like an Italian for a few days, weeks or even a few months. Harold has traveled the world but it is Italy that continues to tug his heart strings... or would that be his tummy strings?

Not only has Harold met wonderful people in Italy but those who have traveled with him become very special friends as well. Many guests have traveled with Harold on three, four and even five different journeys. They keep coming back for more. Why? Each has grown to love Italy just as Harold has.

Each year Harold offers you two or three different options to different regions. It might be a week at "my farm" in eastern Tuscany or a day at one of his favorite festivals or Sagres... a truffle hunt through the woods, maybe the flotilla in Venezia. Something special is always going on no matter where we are. We get up late... take short drives, stroll and wander the back streets of hilltop villages, visit shrines, explore the neighborhood's long ago resident artist's works still very much part of today in the local church. And the bigger towns and cities take on a whole new feel when you discover them with Harold.

It all comes alive when you take your time to experience Italy... not just see it. Feel Italia, taste Italia, breath Italia...and be touched by Italia... you too will come to know the Italy that lives in our hearts and deep within our souls!
