May the Joy of this Easter and Passover season be with each of you! There is much to give thanks for at this time of year. Spring has arrived (although we had two very cold nights this week) and the garden is bursting forth from the ground. Seeds planted weeks ago are cautiously peeking out to make sure it is okay to come on up now.

What are you having for Easter Dinner? Here at Hall Farm we will be sharing with a small group of friends some of our fresh garden produce. Ham and Lamb have been traditions of this season for centuries. Lamb was probably part of that first Passover Feast and Ham has been a part of the meal since medieval times. Eggs? Long a favorite of the Easter scene. I'll be up early Sunday to see if I can catch the Easter Bunny hiding eggs around the farm

Here's our menu, what are you having? Feel free to post a response below and share with our growing community of friends. We are not having Ham this year as we could not find any locally sourced. Not that all our food is local, but we do try.

Inn at Hall Farm Easter Dinner

  • Mini Crab Cakes
  • Asparagus & Mushroom Tart
  • Garland of spring Vegetables (from the garden)
  • Roast Leg of Lamb with tarragon & mint butter (this is so good!)
  • Saffron scented couscous with pine nuts
  • Lemon & White Chocolate Mousse Parfait with fresh Strawberries (from south Texas, ours are not ready yet)

Wine selection? (Oh, that's my job. I better hit the cellar)
