Melbourne, Victoria

Melbourne is notable for its distinct blend of Victorian and contemporary architecture, expansive parks and gardens and multicultural society. It is recognised as Australia’s ‘cultural and sporting capital’ and is home to some of the nation’s most significant cultural and sporting institutions. This will be Orion’s inaugural visit to this great city.

Limestone Coast

The Limestone Coast is a scene of alluring beauty, changing colour, thriving contrasts, wild coastlines, unique wetlands and welcoming locals. Amazing geological features, stunning natural environments and prolific bird life are a feature of the National and Conservation Parks in this region.

Limestone Coast is also responsible for 20% of Australia’s premium wine production. Cellar doors spread throughout the region await your visit.

Kangaroo Island

Kangaroo Island is referred to by the UK Sunday Telegraph as ‘one of the earth’s last unspoilt refuges’. It is Australia’s third largest island after Tasmania and Melville Island. The island itself offers beautiful scenery, secluded beaches and an abundance of wildlife including koalas, seals, echidnas, platypus, goannas and kangaroos.

Half the native bushland on Kangaroo Island remains just as it was when British navigator Matthew Flinders put a name to this untamed wilderness in 1802. And more than one-third of the Island is National or Conservation Park.

The region is well known for wine, cheeses, oysters and lobsters which makes it a perfect stop for Orion’s Culinary Delights voyage.

Port Lincoln

Port Lincoln is the Eyre Peninsula’s second largest city, set on the shores of Boston Bay, Australia’s largest natural harbour. Port Lincoln has a contrasting coastal landscape, ranging from sheltered waters and beaches, to surf beaches and rugged oceanic coastline. The Eyre Peninsula offers a range of tours and exceptional food and wine activities.

Flerieu Peninsula

The Fleurieu Peninsula is a picturesque peninsula located south of Adelaide in South Australia. It was named after the French explorer and hydrographer Charles Pierre Claret de Fleurieu by the French explorer Nicolas Baudin as he mapped the south coast of Australia in 1802.

The Fleurieu Peninsula is home to some of the best produce and vineyards in the country. There’s stunning coastal walks, beaches, welcoming locals and quaint filled towns.
