Kay Zink is passionate about wine, travel and all things "France!" In pursuit of the grape, she has earned her Wine Fundamentals 1 Diploma from the International Sommelier Guild. She is continuing her formal study of wine with the French Wine Society. She will also be studying to become a Certified Wine Specialist.
Kay earned her Bachelor's Degree in International Business and French from the University of Texas at Austin and holds a Master's Degree in International Marketing and French from Thunderbird, the American Graduate School of International Management.
Kay successfully passed the Italian Cuisine 101 course offered through Academia Barilla, the Art of Gastronomic Italy, the first international center dedicated to the development and promotion of Italian food culture. Academia Barilla promotes authentic Italian products and distinguishes them from imitations, working to increase understanding of these products and how they are used in regional Italian cooking.
Kay has traveled extensively throughout Western Europe, Eastern Europe, Russia, the Caribbean, and South America; but France holds a special place in her heart. "It's never a bad idea to go to Paris." ~ Audrey Hepburn
All of her adventures and education have culminated to become a Wine Expert and our own French Cultural Travel Artisan. She is currently developing a series of tours, one of which will be titled Extraordinary Women of France: Chefs & Winemakers which is a follow up to our Extraordinary Women of Spain: Chefs & Winemakers offered in October 2012. Kay has been designated as the Director for Epicopia's Extraordinary Women of Wine Series being introduced later in 2012.
Kay was recently featured under "What's Hot" for Thirsty Girl (all women who have a passion for wine, food, travel).
She guest blogs for many different companies about wine and has her own social media company, A to Zinfandel. Thirsty for life and wine, she looks through life with rose-colored glasses.
